Enterprise Architecture Services to Design and Develop an Enterprise Computing Solution

The Challenge

Information and communications technologies are a key enabler for the delivery of services to families, clinicians and other works at the new Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH).  PCH needed to ensure that robust infrastructure and application solutions were delivered to support patient and clinical workflows, speciality and ancillary medical services, along with a range of ‘back-of-house’ services.

The Solution

KDR provided Enterprise and Infrastructure Architecture services to assist with the design and development of PCH’s enterprise computing solution.  This covered a broad portfolio of ICT services, including end-user computing, enterprise computing, network, facilities, unified communications, real-time location services, audio-visual services, telehealth and security.  KDR was responsible for aligning architecture and design with business requirements for audio-visual and enterprise computing, proactively identifying and managing impacts on other PCH solutions, and developing the overall solution architecture and design documentation.

The Outcome

KDR designed a solution which met business needs, and supported the effective deployment of applications on to the PCH infrastructure.  KDR’s pragmatic approach led to practical and effective solutions which helped PCH achieve clinical and operational goals.
